Crossover Hack

After Assent’s fantastic reception at Sheffield Doc/Fest, VRTOV’s Oscar Raby was invited by Mark Atkin from Sheffield Doc/Fest and Crossover Labs to run a VR workshop at FACT Liverpool.

The first Oculus Rift Crossover Hack was run at FACT in Liverpool and supported by Creative Skillset, BBC North and Oculus VR, attracting participants from Punchdrunk Theatre, The National Theatre, Warp Films, documentary producers, war photographers, playwrights, graphic designers, illustrators and Unity programmers.

Over two days, Oscar and Crossover’s team of specialist mentors led an intensive hackathon with 24 participants, with the first day seeing teams learn the skills they needed to create a story for Oculus Rift and culminating in narrative and production planning, before spending all of the second day on production.

We are an independent digital production studio based in Melbourne making stories in Virtual Reality.
